Writer’s Conferences & Libraries · “Fiction for Young Adults” delves into the mind of a teenager and takes a look at what makes young adult fiction work. Learn to create engaging characters, intriguing plots, edge-of-your-seat pacing, and a unique voice that appeals to this generation of readers.
Teen Events, Camps, or Workshops · “Adam & Eve 101” tells the very first love story ever written. Don’t worry boys, it’s not too sappy! We’ll look at how God designed boys and girls for a distinct purpose and how understanding that purpose will help us in our relationships with each other.
· “Who Am I?” focuses on identity and self esteem. We talk about peer pressure and how no one places more peer pressure on us than we do ourselves. Discovering our identity in Christ sets us on the right path.
· In “Little White Lie” Jill shares her testimony about her old fears that people would discover the sins of her past. When Christ forgives, he forgets. There is no shame in that! Sin grows in secrecy and telling your story is the only way your past can be used to help others.
· We can never know for certain how we will react to temptation, but if we take the time to consider each circumstance before it comes, we will be ready to give the right answer. “Plot Your Life” gives teens encouragement to make a plan for how they will react when temptation comes their way.
· “The Sex Factor” is a tag team talk that Jill does with her husband, Brad. We divide the boys and the girls up and take turns talking to each group. This talk is designed for a full one day event, or could be broken up into five one hour sessions.
Women’s Retreats · “Refrigerator Faith” asks us women to take a look at what’s hiding in that bottom crisper drawer of our refrigerators. Is something rotting in there? Together we’ll look at what it takes to clean out the rotten fruit in our lives and make room for fresh growth.
